Today we are excited to see the opportunities for Logistics employers to gain value from the Apprenticeship Levy in the government’s latest and updated guidance. Most notably the following positive changes:
- Employers paying the Levy will now be able to use the funds in their digital account to pay in full for apprenticeship training (up to the maximum value for each qualification)
- Employers who do not pay the Levy will now be able to provide qualifications to their staff on a ‘co-investment’ basis, with the employer paying part of the cost and the government paying the remainder.10% employer and 90% government contributions are being discussed at present, which would be a much more favourable rate for employers than the 33%/67% contributions currently made under Trailblazer schemes.
